This is no ordinary biscuit recipe. On a buttery base of crunchy Maltesers, a smooth layer of caramel is filled with more sweet surprises, topped off with a deliciously glossy chocolate layer on top. BEWARE: these moreish bites are almost too tasty to share!
Billionaire’s Maltesers Bite biscuit recipe
First layer:
- 460g Maltesers
- 150g melted butter
Steps:
- Melt the butter
- Crush the Maltesers in a sandwich bag with a rolling pin
- Pour the Maltesers into the bowl of melted butter and mix to combine
- Grease and line a tray a large square tray
- Press the mixture down into the tray
- Refrigerate for 20-25 minutes while you make layer 2
Second layer:
- 397g can of condensed milk
- 150g butter
- 150g dark brown soft sugar
Steps:
- Melt the butter and sugar together in a pan
- Add the condensed milk and bring the mixture to a rapid boil
- Once boiling, stir the mixture continually and cook until the mixture has thickened (turn the heat down slightly if you need to)
- Once the mixture is thick and looks like caramel, let it cool and add salt (optional)
- Pour the caramel all over the base layer
- Then submerge whole Matlesers into the caramel – as many as will fit!
- Chill for 30 minutes
Final layer:
- 300g galaxy chocolate
Steps:
- Melt chocolate in a bowl over hot water
- Pour the chocolate over the top of the first two layers
- Let it cool and then pop in the fridge to chill until the chocolate has hardened
Top Tip: Add Maltesers (either crushed or whole) to the top to decorate!
