Katie Price began her controversial music career by the side of her then-husband Peter Andre back in 2001. Anyone remember that famous A Whole New World cover?
And now she’s made a determined return to the world of performing, with a brand new song. But unfortunately, it seems not everyone is a fan of Katie Price’s singing…
The TV personality debuted her brand new tune, ‘I Got U’, on Wednesday’s Loose Women, where she is a regular host.
She’s received criticism in the past for her voice. But this time around, she appeared confident before performing, saying that she was sure her newest recording “won’t be a flop”.
Katie also shared her ambitions for her singing career. She said, “I’ve always wanted to be a popstar or a model. I’m doing it because I can do it and I will do it, it’s not about money.”
The former glamour model also insisted that the song was far more suited to her voice than other songs she’d sung. And it was actually penned by former X Factor star Craig Colton.
She explained, “Because I’ve actually had a song made for my voice, the song I’m doing now is made for me to sing.”
“That’s why I’m doing it live, because I can actually sing it!”
The verdict…
But sadly, viewers didn’t exactly share Katie’s view of her talents and the song. The performance was met with a wave of criticism on social media.
Other viewers say they were left complaining of earache following the daytime performance, while others joked that the whole thing made them feel “uncomfortable.”
When will Katie Price learn she can't bloody sing

Others accused the star of miming, saying they could hear her voice on a backing track.
Sorry but the girl cant sing AND we heard her voice on a backing track when she stopped for a breath…total miming going on there!!

However, Katie’s fans leapt to her defence and to show their support for the singer…

Katie herself has also hit back at critics, saying she enjoyed herself regardless.
I enjoyed myself living my dream I can't win if I sing live or mime but I don't care 💕💕 https://t.co/oYFVOdrQ28
