He welcomed twins with wife Amal Clooney just a few weeks ago. And now George Clooney has made a decision that some feel shows his dedication to his brand new family.
Amal gave birth to Ella and Alexander at the beginning of June. And it seems the actor is showing just how seriously he’s taking his fatherly duties, by selling his beloved tequila company, Casamigos.
The 56-year-old actor sold the company to UK drinks firm Diageo for a whopping $1billion.
He originally set up Casamigos with Cindy Crawford’s husband, Rande Gerber, in 2013. The pair admitted in a statement, “If you asked us four years ago if we had a $1bn company, I don’t think we would have said yes.”
But it seems the loyal father and husband is keen to focus his energies on his brand new babies with wife Amal. One source even told Hollywood Life just how besotted he is with Ella and Alexander.
“George would seriously lay down his life in a heartbeat for Alexander and Ella.”
“George feels this overwhelming sense of comfort and joy whenever he holds the twins. And he can seriously spend hours just watching them sleep. When George talks about the twins he always has this huge beaming smile, and even sounds a little choked-up at times,”
Amal’s mother Baria also told Hello! magazine just how happy the new additions to the family have made everyone, saying, “The babies are so beautiful and our family is complete.
“They are going to bring so much joy. And I hope they will be as good as their parents at bringing harmony and human rights to the world. Myself and my husband are thrilled.”
Following the birth of Amal and George’s twins, Rande, George’s tequila business partner, was clearly keen to support the new-parents.
He took to the Casamigos Instagram page to post a hilarious video of him carrying a trolley of nappies. The snap was adorably captioned ‘Special delivery’
