We take a sneak peek into our Deputy Editor’s make-up bag
Clockwise from left:
YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, £29, Boots – I’m not keen on wearing foundation but Beauty Ed, Stephanie, so loves this I tried it and I love it. Getting the right colour? I walked into Boots, took advice from the YSL assistant who gave me two sample shades to try and I plumped for BD50. It really is amazing!
Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette Number 11 Forest, £31, Boots – what I love about this palette, as well as the gorgeous shades of course, is the leaflet that suggests where to apply the different colours, so you use them all. Very clever. I am allergic, have sensitive skin and need to be careful about what I wear and this works brilliantly for me.
No 7 Extravagant Volume Waterproof, £12, Boots – my eyelashes I’ve recently discovered have gone grey to match my hair. This mascara brings them back again!
iBrows Pencil, £11.95 and shaper, £5.95, and iBrows Palette, bombshell, £24.99, www.ibrowsetc.co.uk – surprisingly my eyebrows have remained brown (mostly!) and when I tried this pencil, to give shape to the front of my eyebrows and then applied the brown powder, gently flicking the brush into my brows, it made such a difference to the shape. A vast improvement.
Shiseido Lacquer rouge, £22, Boots and Shiseido Smoothing Lip Pencil, £18, feelunique.com – both work hard at staying in place (I’ve always found that difficult to achieve) and the pencil helps to define my lip shape.
