Cheryl Cole is a beauty icon – the bouncy blow-dry, the va-va-voom lashes and of course that famous golden bronze skin. Luckily for our pasty pins, we’ve discovered the secrets to her glow!

In her time as a L’Oréal Paris spokesmodel, Cheryl has convinced us to buy everything to steal her style, from shampoo to lip gloss and now, as she fronts the campaign for the new L’Oréal Paris’ Sublime Bronze Express Pro Self Tan Dark Dry Mist, £15.49, and the rest of the bronzing collection, we predict another scrum at the checkouts.

The brand are set to launch 15 new tanning buys, including prep, wash-off and tan-enhancing products. With its ultra-wide spray technology, the Dark Dry Mist is the hero of the collection and is perfect for at-home bronzing. Plus the formula dries instantly so there’s no need to rub in – goodbye stained palms!

This is Chezza’s first tanning campaign for the brand, and judging by the end result (left) it won’t be her last. She’s wearing this season’s must-have tan – think deep and intense colour.

We spoke to Charlotte Connoley, L’Oréal Paris Body and Tanning Expert and the woman responsible for Cheryl’s deep mahogany glow on how to get the look.

‘I sent over the new L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze Exfotonic Body Polishion Gel and Sublime Bronzing Firming Body Lotion, before the shoot to prep and really hydrate the skin.

‘The next day I used the new Express Pro Self Tan Dark Dry Mist, £15.49, and applied two coats to Cheryl. There’s no guide colour so you have to work consistently. It’s always best to start at the bottom and work upwards. I finished with a light spritz of the facial mist to Cheryl’s face on the shoot day.’
