Kate Middleton never puts a fashionable foot out of place! In honour of our ultimate style crush, we take a look at her most iconic fashion moments…
Buttoned up
Wearing what is fast becoming her signature piece, Kate knows the best way to stay warm and chic is in a coatdress. The punchy red hue of this Catherine Walker coat looks gorgeous with her brunette locks, whilst a silver fern brooch pays homage to New Zealand’s national emblem as she visited the country in April.
Cute canary
Opting for another longline coat in pastel tones, Kate looked radiant at the Queen’s garden party in May in this Emilia Wickstead ensemble. We love how she showed off her teeny baby bump with her arms protectively over her tummy!
Mint green
Kate was as pretty as a picture in her mint green Mulberry coat back in April this year. She teamed the coat with her trusty nude LK Bennett court shoes, which were the perfect height for staying glamorous during her pregnancy
Lady in red
You can’t go wrong with classic red and black! The peplum shape on this jacket shows off Kate’s tiny waist and accentuates her hips perfectly. This snap was taken as the couple revisited St Andrews University, where they met, for the institution’s 600th birthday celebrations in 2011
Grecian goddess
How pretty is the combination of Kate’s trademark curly locks and the soft pleating on this Grecian-style gown? The embellished waistband and sky-high heels ensure the dress doesn’t swamp her petite frame. Another winner from Kate’s favorite design house, Alexander McQueen, in July 2011
Lovely lace
Proving she can wow on the red carpet, Kategave the Hollywood A-listers a run for their money at the War Horse premiere in January 2012. The black lace on this Temperley frock was seductive without flashing any flesh – a true lesson in classic dressing
Little mermaid
The way this teal chiffon gown moved when Kate walked was simply beautiful! The Duchess stepped out in this Jenny Packham floor-length gown to attend an Olympic concert in May 2012. The delicate lace shoulders reminded us of her wedding dress
Pretty pleats
Kate’s hat and brooch make her outfit feel very regal, but the pleats on her above-the-knee skirt keep it youthful and fun. This photo was taken as Kate celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June 2012 – we bet she wished she wore tights to protect her legs from the torrential rain though!
Suit’s you!
There must have been no red wine on the menu when Kate braved this all-white ensemble in June 2012! The tuxedo styling of the top of her dress is elegant, while the fabric folds on the skirt balance out her silhouette brilliantly. It’s not surprising that Kate turned to her wedding dress designer Sarah Burton to create this angelic outfit
Yummy mummy
How can anyone look this good a day after giving birth? Kate proves she is a real style icon when the ASOS look-a-like of this dotty shift sold out in hours – top marks for her pretty wedge heels too!
Perfect pattern
You know you’re a princess when you fly in a Jonathan Saunders frock as opposed to your comfiest trackies! The gorgeous colours on this empire line dress were ideal for Kate’s visit to the vibrant Soloman Islands in September 2012, as part of her and William’s Diamond Jubilee tour
Purple reign
The graphic print on this purple wrap dress adds interest without being too garish. We love how the soft fabric makes it so easy to dress up or down. Kate looks amazing here with simple jewellery and classic black heels
Glamorous glitter
Motherhood is most definitely suiting Kate! During her first public appearance since giving birth to baby George, the princess looked stunning in a floor-length sequined Jenny Packham gown. We’re sure there will be plenty more beautiful frocks where this came from!
Feeling blue
We love how natural Kate looks in his picture as she shares a joke with staff when visiting a high school back in February. And as if that doesn’t make us love her enough, her lapel front cobalt frock is from high street store LK Bennett! The high neck and midi sleeves keep the look demure whilst Kate shows just the right amount of those perfect pins!
It’s a wrap!
Kate was responsible for this Issa dress selling out in record time after wearing it to announce her engagement. Kate’s effortlessly elegant style kept all eyes on her – not just on the rock on her finger!
