Woman opening presentQ: I’d love to buy my mum a really nice Mother’s Day gift but I don’t have much money. Where will I find the best bargains?

A: There are lots of great deals out there, but you’ll need to order quickly to make sure your gift arrives in time for this Sunday. Family deals website Littlebird.co.uk has a great deal for its members – 50% off the Sweetness Bouquet from Debenhams Flowers – £20 instead of £39.99.

If it’s fragrance you’re after, top discount experts TJ Hughes have lots of designer scents at incredible prices, such as Jimmy Choo Eau de Toilette (40ml) for just £25 (RRP £39).

Many of the leading supermarkets are also offering a great range of low-cost Mother’s Day gifts. Asda has everything from makeovers and beauty treatments for only £10 to two-for-the-price-of-one pamper days that you and your mum can experience together.

Waitrose are offering up to a third off gifts for mum, such as the Cath Kidston wild rose shower set for £4.65 (was £7), or some indulgent Neal’s Yard Lavender Bath Salts for £9.73 (was £14.60).

And, of course, the best gift for a Woman’s Own reader? How about a subscription? It’s just £47 a year for 51 copies delivered straight to your mum’s door! And if you’re lucky, she might let you read it after she’s finished! Happy Mother’s Day.
