Father Christmas standing upQ: How can I get a free video message from Santa?

A: If you’ve never done it before and have kids that believe in the Big Man, you absolutely have to get a free personalised video message from Santa this year.

All you have to do is visit the following website and follow the instructions:  http://www.portablenorthpole.com/home.

You’ll be asked lots of details about your child – name, age, if they go to school or nursery, if they’ve helped someone, done a good deed…

You’re even asked how you pronounce your child’s name to make sure the message is 100 per cent believable.

You can then add more personal details, such as if your child has been listening to Mummy and Daddy or has been a kind big sister.

The ‘behaviour’ lists you have to choose from are fairly comprehensive, so you’re bound to find one that matches your child.

You can even upload images of key events in the child’s year – maybe a birthday party or a family holiday and can add details of the special gift your child wants this Christmas.

When you come to the end you will then be emailed a link with a fully personalised video from Santa.

This is the fifth year this website has been offering the service and they do charge if you want to buy the video later, but you can watch it as many times as you like for free way beyond Christmas Day.

Take it from me, the look of wonder, excitement and belief on your child’s face is well worth the ten minutes or so of computer work this will take – and it won’t cost you a penny!
