Q: I love putting on a spritz of perfume before I leave for work but, by the time it gets to lunchtime, I can’t smell it on my skin anymore. Have you got any tips to make it last longer?
Sara Pascale, 42, Lincoln
A: It’s so frustrating when you love a scent but it just seems to disappear on your skin.
Layering your fragrance can help. Use a matching shower gel if you can, then apply the body lotion.
I love Marc Jacobs Daisy Luminous Body Lotion, £18.40. Well-moisturised skin will help to cling on to your perfume – scents evaporate quickly on dry skin.
Where you apply it can make a difference too. Spritz on to scent hot spots like the wrists, neck and behind your ears. These pulse points will help to boost your fragrance.
