Q: I’ve never had big lips but they seem to have got even thinner with age. How can I get fuller lips without fillers?
Natalie-Kate Bean, 40, from Lincoln
A: The great news is there are easy and affordable ways to cheat a plumper pout! Lips do tend to thin and lose definition as we get older, so it’s important to redefine the shape before applying any colour with a matching lipliner. Use soft, feathery strokes working from the outside in to the centre of the lip.
For smaller lips, a highlighter is your new best friend. Apply a dot to the Cupid’s bow and blend gently. The highlighter catches the light to make the upper lip appear fuller. You can’t beat Benefit High Beam Complexion Enhancer, £18.50, for it’s subtle radiance and easy to blend formula. For a budget version, try George Glow Shine Luminous Highlighter Sun Ray, £3.50, Asda.
A glossy finish instantly makes lips appear fuller. On top of that, Soap & Glory Super-Colour Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss, £9, contains special spheres that get up to ten times bigger once applied to lips and really works.
