Do you remember any of these throwbacks from the 90s?
Did you wake up to Live and Kicking at the weekend and make friendship bracelets for your BFF? Then you are going to LOVE reading about our favourite things from the 90s. From pedal pushes to 90210, the Spice Girls and floppy disks, these are the things that made it such a great decade to grow up in!
Waking up to watch the Rugrats on a Saturday morning
Can you believe that it’s now been 25 years since this fun show about babies getting up to mischief first premiered in the USA?! Our Saturday mornings wouldn’t have been the same without Tommy, Chuckie and the gang to entertain us with the adventures – and who can forget the eternally bossy Angelica?! The hit show ran for 13 years (from 1990-2006) and was nominated for four Emmy awards in that time. Good going guys!
Yin and Yang jewellery
The epitome of stylishness – no?!
So much bloomin’ velvet. In a sultry maroon, preferably.
Hands up who had these?! We never realised they were so, ahem, rude….
The only place to buy knee high boots!
Totally cool yet totally painful after ‘slap’ number 284!! Ouch.
Hardly pocket sized but who cares! Only annoying thing was the CD jumped at any hint of movement. GRRR.
Worn with Reebok Classics, platforms or flip-flops – pedal pushers were a MUST during the 90s. Everyone owned several pairs!
The Spice Girls
The biggest band of the nineties and the only band where we knew pretty much all the words, to all their songs. Fact.
As. If! Our love of romcoms started here!
We’ll take the pedal pushers in every colour please!
Along with mini discs and pagers, these were the latest technology must-have and dads everywhere had cupboards full of them (and probably still do!)
Shopping for the threads for these beauties was the highlight of our week! Such. Fun. So. Pretty.
How to annoy your brother in the 90s? Hide his Game Boy! HA!
We ate these like they were going out of fashion! Double yum when they were served with smiley faces!
The only place to shop on the high street for, like…everything!!! £1 got you SO much – YES!
Remember when these phones got REALLY fancy and you could change the covers?! Oh yes, a 90s classic!
These American kids understood us, ok!
Boys and girls alike literally lived in these orange lined jackets, we even tried to sleep in ours (it was cold ok?!)!
Sweet Valley High
The only books to be seen reading at school.
The Return Of The Mack was played at every house party in the 90s! On repeat!
Who else LOVED the 90s?!
