Apparently they’re more attractive, successful, and intelligent
According to science, bald men make the best partners. A recent study showed that bald guys are perceived as more intelligent, dominant and just generally sexier than men with a full head of hair!
Statistics show that by the age of 35, around 66% of men face significant hair loss. Hello male pattern baldness!
But ladies, tell the bald blokes in your life not to worry.
Dr Frank Muscarella (yes, he is also bald folks) conducted a study on the social reaction to baldness in men, Maxim reports. It found that bald men are perceived to be more intelligent, dominant, and overall sexier than their hairy counterparts.
So Muscarella asked participants to rate a group of men according to four different categories:
- physical attractiveness
- social maturity
The results were pretty surprising!
The study found that people perceive bald guys as being more honest, successful, intelligent and dominant. All very attractive traits in a partner, right?
Muscarella explained that, baldness in men is seen as a “non-threatening form of social dominance”. And that women tend to be “very attracted to high social dominance”. You’re preaching to the choir Muscarella—of course we’re attracted to sexy, intelligent men!
The key is in a completely shaved head though. While bald men are perceived as being powerful and dominant, men with bald spots and thinning hair tend to be seen as weaker and less attractive.
So, if your man is debating what to do about his thinning comb-over then you may want to suggest braving the razor.
Want proof that bald is better?
We know several bald Hollywood hunks that spring to mind. Think Bruce Willis, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and also absolute hottie Jason Statham (partner to supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley by the way- enough said).
Don’t know about you, but we’re convinced.
