Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a festive sandwich offering.
And unlike the last-minute turkey and stuffing combos you’ll be throwing together come Boxing Day, these sandwiches pack a whole lot of flavour between two slices of bread.
So take a good look! We challenge you not to lick your lips!
Leon’s Christmas Wrap (£5.45)

A heady mix of turkey, pork, sage and onion stuffing balls, ham hock and spinach is bound to perk up any lunchtime. And the flavour stakes are kicked up a notch by the addition of tarragon mayo and cranberry and port sauce.

Gregg’s Christmas Lunch Toastie (£3)
All the fun of a festive dinner in a few tasty bites, this simple but tasty sandwich combo is bound to prove a hit! Sage and onion pulled turkey is paired with cranberry relish, sweetcure bacon, Edam cheese and mature cheddar. And it’s all finished off with a slathering of béchamel sauce. Delish!

Pret’s Very Merry Christmas Lunch Baguette (£3.75, 50p PFT donation)

This is Pret’s first vegan Christmas Lunch. And what it lacks in meat it makes up for in extras. A stone baked baguette layered with grilled carrots, parsnip puree and crispy onions. And the whole thing is finished off with Pret’s festive chutney, a handful of toasted pistachios and peppery watercress. Tasty!

While you’re contemplating that, take a look at these…

Eat’s Festive Full Works Bloomer (£3.95)

This seasonal sandwich offers a winning combination of juicy turkey breast, smoked ham, herby pork & sage stuffing, cranberry sauce and spinach. In addition, if you’re hankering for more, it’s also available in a baguette (£4.50).

Starbucks Roast Beef & Blue Cheese Brioche Baguette (from £3.99)

This warming lunchtime treat offers an alternative taste of Christmas. And as far as we’re concerned EVERYTHING tastes better with blue cheese! The brioche baguette comes filled with medium-rare roast topside of beef with a blue cheese sauce. Mustard & ale chutney complete this decadent filling. Our mouths are watering already.

M & S’s Christmas Club Sandwich (£4.50)

If you’re looking for an indulgent lunchtime treat then this is it! Inspired by festive themed burger trend, the brioche roll is stuffed with chargrilled roast turkey, applewood smoked bacon and a Brussels sprout slaw. And the grand finale is a dash of cranberry relish, topped off with a pig in blanket. So the question is, what’s not to love?!

Boot’s Shapers Festive Falafel (£2.75)

A great option for those wanting to indulge and keep trim at the same time. Offering a unique twist on the usual festive fayre dark wholemeal bread is stuffed with beetroot falafel, red cabbage pickle, red cabbage, yogurt and mayonnaise. It’s then finished off houmous, butternut squash and spinach. And as an added bonus it counts towards one of your five-a-day!

Sainsbury’s Turkey Feast Wedge Sandwich (£2.30)

When it comes to fillings we say the more the merrier! Here sliced butter basted British turkey breast is combined with savoury pork, chestnut stuffing and rashers of smoky maple-cured British bacon. And to add extra oomph there’s fresh spinach and a tangy cranberry and port sauce. All sandwiched between slices of soft malted bread. Yum!
