Even if you’re not entirely sure what a churro is, there’s no doubt you’ve seen these sweet treats for sale on stalls all over the UK. The churro trend came over to the UK from Spain a few years ago and has been unstoppable ever since!
Churros are sweet Spanish snack. They consist of a strip of fried dough, or choux pastry which can either be knotted or straight. They are then dusted with a coating sugar or cinnamon. Traditionally, fresh churros were enjoyed at breakfast, dipped into a hot chocolate sauce or served with café con leche. Delicious!
