Simple and super tasty – it’s the perfect late-night snack.

But imagine a grilled cheese sandwich shop where you could get this tasty snack any time of day, any day of the week. Cue Nisha and Nishma, two young entrepreneurs who are making this dream a reality.

GMC was borne from late night snacking sessions when they were travelling together in Miami. Grilled cheese is big over there, and soon became a ritual for the end of a night out. They’re now looking for the flagship location for the first grilled cheese sandwich chain in London.

So what’s the secret to the perfect grilled cheese sandwich? It’s all in the ingredients…

Organic sourdough bread, their infamous cheese blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and Gruyere, free-range meat, and homemade ketchup. Their golden rule is to steer clear from synthetic white bread and processed plastic cheese.

Next they grill with an industrial griddle and then seal the sandwich in a cast-iron press for authenticity.

And it’s clearly a formula that works. GMC sold more than 45,000 toasties at a range of festivals, food markets, and corporate events.
