The only thing better than sitting down in front of a plate of delicious Christmas dinner food is getting to experience those flavours every week in the run up to Christmas at lunch – in the form of festive Christmas sandwiches!

The selection of Christmas sandwiches out there is so vast that you could choose a different sandwich every day of the week, so to help you choose (and keep your waistline under control) the team at Woman HQ have picked the very best Christmas sandwiches worth tasting this December…

Christmas Feast Baguette, £3.50, POD – 8/10

For the best baguette on the Christmas market, look no further than POD, with their ‘Christmas Feast’ rustic baguette, filled with turkey, stuffing, spinach, classic cranberry sauce, crispy onions, and a dash of mayonnaise. #yum

Turkey Feast Flatbread, £4.29, Starbucks – 8/10

What makes this festive feast stand out from other Christmas sandwiches is that all the classic ingredients (turkey, bacon, cranberry sauce – you know the drill) are all coated in flavoursome turkey gravy that takes the whole experience to the next level.

Turkey, Bacon, and Stuffing Sandwich, £2.31, Morrisons – 7/10
Helen Blunt from WO HQ was a total Christmas sandwich convert after trying this lunch time treat! “I’m not usually a big fan of ‘novelty’ sandwiches, but I was plesantly surprised by this delicious (and rather filling) offering from Morrisons.” Helen reported back, “The malted bread made me feel slightly less guilty as I tucked into the lovely christmas combo which comprised of turkey breast with pork, sage and onion stuffing, cranerry chutney, seasoned mayonnaise and smoke flavoured bacon.” Sounds good to us!
Pret’s Christmas Lunch, £3.60, Pret – 9/10
It’s the Christmas sandwich we’ve all been waiting for, and this year, once again, Pret certainly didn’t disappoint! We’re not sure what we like more, the combination of turkey with cranberry & port sauce with the malted bread, or the herby stuffing and crispy onions nestled in there too…. [drools]
Festive Full Works Baguette, EAT – 9/10
Of all the Christmas sandwiches out there, this one has got to be by far the most satisfying. Living up to its name, this ‘full works’ sandwich crams slices of turkey, smoked ham, stuffing, mayo, cranberry sauce, and a few green leaves all into one tasty baguette. Wow.
