August 31st 2017 marks the 20 year anniversary of the death of the late Diana Princess of Wales.
As well as a new exhibition of Diana’s most iconic dresses, sons Prince Harry and Prince William have revealed that the ‘People’s Princess’ will also have a new statue erected in her name to mark this important moment in time.
And it appears that the focus on Diana’s life and work is set to extend beyond these two tributes.
FX Network has confirmed that Prince Charles and Princess Diana will head up the 10-episode second season of Feud. Feud: Charles and Diana – will premiere in 2018.
The Feud series – which airs for the first time this Sunday – examines tensions in some of the world’s most high profile relationships.
And now it’s been hinted which A-list Hollywood actress will step into Diana’s shoes to take on this pivotal role. During a panel discussion at PaleyFest in Beverly Hills American Horror Story actress continually referred to her co-star Sarah Paulson as “the people’s princess”.
We can’t really see a likeness to Diana, but TV teams can work wonders.

ABC news is also planning a new documentary to honour Lady Di. Airing over two nights in August this year, the as yet untitled documentary aims to introduce Diana’s legacy to a new audience.
Robert Mills, ABC’s senior VP of alternative series, specials and late-night, said:
“Even 20 years after her untimely death, Princess Diana’s legacy continues to impact our world.
“Our special will honor her memory and all the good that she did in her tragically brief life. Our partners at People are perfect to tell this story as they’ve extensively covered her life throughout the years.”
The documentary will include interviews with leading Diana experts as well as archival footage of the Princess of Wales.
Commenting on the ongoing appeal of Princess Diana, People’s Editor-in-Chief Jess Cagle added:
“Princess Diana has appeared on the cover of People 57 times — more than anyone in the history of the People brand.
“Our audience has an insatiable appetite for news about the royal family; in fact, they are just as fascinated today as they were when Lady Diana was first introduced to the world back in 1981.”
