If you were tuning into the London Marathon on Sunday you may have thought that the most talked about Kate and Wills moment was THAT cheeky water spray from a passing runner.
But the royal couple actually shocked audiences just ahead of the big race, by giving a revealing interview to BBC Radio 1. Unfazed by some quick-fire questioning from host Scott Mills, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge answered everything from their views on The Crown to William’s now famous dad-dancing moment.
When asked if he had tuned into the hit Netflix Series, The Duke replied that he and his wife were actually “quite keen on boxsets” and indulge in a few episodes of their favourite shows once the “kiddies are being in bed”. Their programmes of choice? Homeland, Game Of Thrones and Neighbours.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – how do they spend date night?
And just like the rest of us, they occasionally tuck into a takeaway, with Kate saying they opt for a good old fashioned curry which someone collects for them rather than delivering to their Norfolk home. In another admission – that all parents will relate to – they revealed that they to keep the little ones happy by sitting through a cartoon or two.
William revealed that “George gets very upset if you’re not showing due diligence to the characters”. His response? To put a smile on his face and feign interest in the Prince and Princesses favourite programmes, which include Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam.
Game Wills also inadvertently referred to the dad dancing furore from his recent ski trip. Asked whether he attended gigs or concerts he replied:
“You know I’ve got in enough trouble with my dancing recently, so it’s best to keep away from that.”
What a pair!
