After months of gossip surrounding Loose Women star Ruth Langsford potentially appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, the popular BBC show announced that there will indeed be a Loose Women star joining the line-up – her co-star Jamelia!
The mum-of-two, and Loose Women regular, was said to be excited and nervous at the same time. Chatting to Hello, Jamelia (pictured with her two daughters below) revealed, “My girls are huge fans of Strictly, but when I told them I was doing it they laughed as they know that dancing is not my forté!”
She also confessed that her daughters, “are amazing dancers” and one of her reasons for signing up for Strictly was to learn how to dance properly to, “give them a run for their money, and end them teasing me once and for all!”
The usually bluntly honest Loose Women star will be taking to the dance floor alongside a line-up that so far includes the likes of Peter Andre, Carol Kirkwood and Corrie actress Georgia May Foote.
As well as Peter Andre and Jamelia, daytime TV favourites Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigann are also rumored to be considering slipping on some sequins and hitting the dance floor. However, reports have said that Judy, ‘took a bit of persuading’ to agree as she thought it would be too embarrassing!
Richard and Judy aren’t the only daytime TV presenting duo to be involved in talks with the show. Despite Eamonn Holmes claiming that he’s, “the one who has been asked” to appear on the show, his wife Ruth Langford has been given 5/1 odds by William Hill to take to the dance floor.
Eamonn has taken himself out of the running though, claiming that he has too many ‘injuries’!
Also rumored to be in the running to appear on the show are former X-factor host Dermot O’Leary and judge Mel B, green-fingered TV star Alan Titchmarsh, Eastenders regular Shane Richie, and foul mouthed chef Gordon Ramsey.
