george2How time has flown since Prince George’s first birthday party, where he enjoyed a lavish bash at Kensington Palace with the Queen as guest of honour and personal rendition of Happy Birthday played by the Irish Guards.

George’s second birthday celebration is set to be a much more low-key affair, centered around a quiet afternoon tea at his parent’s country retreat, Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate.

In attendance at the gathering will be George’s doting grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton, his godparents and a host of little friends, but it looks like daddy Wills could miss the event.

The Duke of Cambridge recently started a new role as an East Anglian Air Ambulance helicopter pilot and could be working a shift.

Charles and Camilla will also miss the occasion as they’ll be on an official tour of the West Country.

Kate’s apparently done most of the organising herself for the bash, but we’re sure she’s had a little help from mum Carole, who runs one of the country’s most successful party goods companies.

Happy birthday gorgeous George – we hope you have a blast!
