Prince George and Princess Charlotte are off on an adventure! Royal sources have confirmed that they will be joining their parents on the upcoming royal visit to Canada in September.
“We are told the children are coming and the itinerary is being coordinated accordingly” so a source revealed to Grazia.
“There will be a heavy focus on nature, the outdoors and there will be at least one private day factored into the trip. We’re hearing hiking, walking and outdoor pursuits will feature while the family is in British Columbia. There’s talk of going into the centre where there are fresh water lakes and great kayaking.”
And the latest news to emerge from the Royal camp is that Princess Charlotte is getting a specially built nursery. 16-month-old Charlotte is set to have the time of her life playing in her own room at Canada’s Government House. And it seems that no expense has been spared, with Charlotte’s nursery kitted out with toys and a soft playroom.
Prince and Princess no stranger to foreign travel
Prince George may already be a seasoned traveller, with the 2014 royal tour of Australia and New Zealand already under his tiny belt, but Princess Charlotte is yet to be taken on a long haul flight overseas.
The one-year-old has accompanied her parents and older brother to Europe, on holidays to France to go skiing in the winter and for their summer holiday again last month, but the little Princess hasn’t been taken on a royal tour yet.
In addition, Prince George and Princess Charlotte nanny, Maria, will accompany the family on the royal visit to lending a helping hand.
Kate and Prince William set off on their royal tour of India and Bhutan back in April, but due to a hectic schedule they decided to leave Prince George and Princess Charlotte at home with Kate’s mum Carol.
Whilst they were abroad, both Kate and Prince William confessed to missing their children ‘terribly’. So it’s no surprise they were keen to bring them along for their grand tour of Canada this Autumn.
This will be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second official trip to Canada. They first visited the country back in 2011, just three months after they were married.
And we can’t wait to see all the adorable photos of the royal family in Canada!
