Move over baby George – there’s a new royal in town!
Zara Phillips, the Queen’s granddaughter has given birth to a baby girl. She delivered the child at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital this morning, with husband Mike Tindall at her side, the palace confirmed. She was even back home within a few hours.
The little girl, who is 16th in line to the throne, weighed 7lbs, 12oz. No name has been announced.
A statement from Buckingham Palace read, ‘The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.
