Well we never...
All’s fair in love and awards. But try telling that to Loose Women co-presenter Nadia Sawalha. The 52-year-old was snapped on camera looking less than pleased at This Morning’s gong for best live magazine show.
This is the 12th consecutive year that the show fronted by presenters including Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield has scooped the accolade. And in a surprising show of annoyance, Nadia was caught letting rip about her feelings. Turning to a man sat behind her at the recent National Television Awards she playfully chimed: ‘Every f***ing year!’ while managing a clap for the winners.
But rather than backtracking on her comments, she turned to Twitter to make light of the incident:
Thankfully Holly seemed oblivious to the furore, proceeding to thank fans for their vote, saying:
“What are you doing to us, you crazy people? We love, love, LOVE doing this show, it’s so special to us. I love working with Phil – I’m so lucky to sit next to my best friend every day.”
With Loose Women’s constant bid to reinvent itself – including a roll call of guest panellists and ever-more controversial topics – we can see why Nadia is less than impressed with the judge’s decision.
Fans – at least – are rooting for the presenter, with one even predicting a future awards nod for the Loose Women team.
