"It’s a very difficult situation"
Following Louise Redknapp’s fierce denial that her marriage to husband Jamie was on the rocks just last month, it has now emerged that the couple have sadly split.
After nearly 20 years together the couple, who wed in a romantic beach ceremony in Bermuda in 1998, appear to have called it quits as they struggled to work out their difficulties.
Rumours about the couple going their separate ways were rife after Louise was spotted jetting off to Mallorca alone for a ‘solo holiday’ this month.
Now, insiders have revealed to The Sun, “Louise told one of her closest friends she and Jamie had split.”
“It’s a very difficult situation because of their two children who they are both determined to protect” the source added. “That’s why they’re not prepared to officially end the marriage or comment publicly.”
The former Strictly Come Dancing star and TV personality has two sons with Jamie, 12-year-old Charley and eight-year-old Beau.
Just last month, the 42-year-old was forced to deny allegations that she and Jamie were facing marriage problems. “It was surreal. Me and Jamie had just been out for dinner at Zuma, and were in bed together when we saw on Sky that our marriage was in trouble” Louise said. “We’re great – don’t worry about us, everything’s fine.”
A few years ago, talking to Red Magazine, Louise spoke candidly about her marriage to Jamie, “’We love each other and our family, but we’ve had our ups and downs. I never, ever take our marriage for granted… All you can do is be yourself and work at it.”
No official comment or statement from either party has been released at this time.
