TV presenter, author and mum Katie Piper is an inspiration to many.

After surviving a horrific acid attack at the hands of her ex-boyfriend in 2008, the 33-year-old has gone on to spread a message of body positivity, build a successful career, marry the love of her life and become a mother to little Belle,2.

The star also announced the amazing news that she is welcoming another bundle of joy into the world earlier this year, and has been proudly showing off her growing baby bump on Instagram.

While you may not have heard of the American fashion model, actress, lifestyle blogger and heiress to the publishing fortune is no stranger to the acting game. Her acting credits including Gossip Girl, Mistresses and horror flicks such as Cabin Fever 3.

We wonder how she’s going to handle such a sensitive role and only time will tell if she lives up to the string of accolades – including a BAFTA nomination – that the original documentary earned.

Still it seems that the movie is tipped for good things as a source suggested to the Telegraph earlier this year.

“It’s a hugely emotive story that would make a brilliant film.”

“I had surgery two weeks ago for my eye – I had scar tissue forming over the cornea. That’s the reason it’s ongoing, scar tissue keeps forming.
“My throat keeps filling up with it so it’s hard to swallow, and it’s the same with my nose,” she said.
But despite all she has been – and continues – to go through Katie refuses to be beaten. She added:
“I’m nine years into my injury and I accept that I am a burns survivor and it is part of my life.”
Katie we think you’re amazing, and we can’t wait to see your name up in lights!
