The pair fronted this popular programme together years ago...
They’re everyone’s favourite presenting pair, and now dynamic duo Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield will reportedly pair up yet again to host the reboot of one of their very first programmes together – Dancing On Ice.
The popular ITV skating show fell off the face of our screens in 2014 after starting over 11 years ago (we know, we can’t believe it either), and was originally fronted by the hosts who are now the faces of This Morning.
Holly and Phil hosted the show for six series, from 2006 until 2011, when Holly fell pregnant, and Christine Bleakley took over while Holly went on maternity leave. Christine and Phil then presented the show until it ended in 2014, much to the dismay of ardent fans.
So the news that Phil and Holly will is certainly a welcome one! According to The Sun, the pair will rejoin the show as hosts when it returns later this year.
Is a Holly and Phil Dancing on Ice return on the cards?
A source told the publication, “It’s a massive coup for ITV to have Holly and Phil back on board,”
“Producers love the idea of going back to the original line-up and they’re both really excited to return to their roots.”
And they’re not the only old hands touted to appear on the reboot of the popular programme. Skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have both already ‘confirmed’ the news of the show returning, and are reportedly set to take a place as judges, rather than skating coaches to the celebrity contestants as they did in the original airing of Dancing On Ice.
A number of famous faces are already apparently in the running to take part in the show too. Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell and popular psychic Sally Morgan are said to a part of the upcoming line-up, while Katie Price has also confirmed that she’d love a chance to take part.
