After expressing her desire to meet the Duchess on her last trip to London, it is reported that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have finally met.
Harry supposedly took Meghan, 35, to meet Kate whilst she was staying at Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace before Christmas. Kate and William’s London-based residence is easily reached from Harry’s Nottingham Cottage.
Meghan was reportedly ‘very excited’ to meet Kate, and had been looking forward to the introduction for a while. According to The Sun on Sunday, the feeling was mutual.
A source revealed, “Kate was really looking forward to meeting Meghan and she knew how important it was to Harry.”
“Also, they are very close and he really values her opinion on girlfriends.”
“This just shows how serious Harry is. He wants to take their relationship to the next level.”
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s first meeting apparently went ‘really well’ with the pair getting on well.
In addition, the American actress also got the pleasure of meeting little Princess Charlotte. Meghan was apparently besotted with the adorable one-year-old.
Finally, to help make the best impression possible on Harry’s sister-in-law, Meghan also chose a very special gift to give Kate ahead of her 35th birthday.
“Meg had bought Kate a small birthday present” the source continued. “A very smart leather-bound ‘dream diary’ for her thoughts and ideas which Kate loved.”
Harry and Meghan have been on holiday together since the start of the year. Prince Harry whisked Meghan off for a romantic trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights. The extravagant trip included a stay in a luxury £2,000-a-week Tromvik Lodge. As a result, the pair are fuelling rumours that they will get engaged.
