Could we love George Clooney any more?!
George Clooney has gone and cemented his status as one of the nicest men in Hollywood by going out of his way to surprise one of his oldest fans.
The 55-year-old actor turned up at 87-year-old Pat Adams’s nursing home to surprise her on her birthday after discovering that she was one of his biggest fans.
The staff at the Sunrise of Sonning home had written to father-to-be George Clooney to ask, on the off chance, if he would pop in to see Pat as her birthday was coming up. Although George doesn’t live far from the nursing home with his wife Amal, it was a long shot for the staff.
A sweet surprise
However, they were in luck! The Oscar winning actor dropped in to the nursing home one day unexpected and unannounced. The completely shocked nursing home staff greeted Clooney as he arrived at the home. In addition, George didn’t arrive empty handed! The actor clutched a birthday card and a bunch of flowers for Pat.
“This was a classy gesture from a wonderful man,” a Sunrise spokesman told the BBC. “She was absolutely thrilled to meet her great icon.”
“A dream came true for one of our residents” said Linda Jones, the care home’s concierge.
George and Amal purchased their sprawling estate in Sonning, a village in Berkshire, in October 2014. Amal and George announced earlier this year that they are expecting twins together.
The twins will be the first children for the couple. The first-time parents have been getting tips from their celebrity pals on parenthood. Although George’s fellow Ocean’s Eleven star Matt Damon admitted the boys have been pulling George’s leg about the sleepless nights!
