We can't believe this about the star!
TV presenter Davina McCall revealed she was once addicted to heroin, in a emotional appearance on ITV’s This Morning.
The mum-of-three appeared on the hit daytime show to talk about her new autobiography, and described her troubled relationship with her late mother.
She explained that while she ‘worshipped’ Florence – who passed away in 2008 – her childhood lacked structure.
“I worshipped her. I had no boundaries. When I was a teenager, it was cool, but half of the time, I wanted a hug or for her to pick me up from the airport.”
During the conversation with presenters Holly and Phillip, the star also confessed to including her battle with heroin addiction in her autobiography, saying:
“In a funny way, I did it for my kids. I wanted them to have something to look at and learn from.”
“I was a little unsure of putting all that private information out there and I didn’t want to come across like some sort of guru. “
Caroline – surname Baday – lost her battle to cancer in 2012. Davinia said: “We lost Caroline. I’m not scared of dying now. She went through it with such dignity.
“We both spoke about her bravery in dying and her acceptance of death. She decided she was not going to freak out and fight it. I know she was doing it for us. When she died, it was so peaceful.”
‘My beautiful brave sister Caroline (@madfroggy) lost her fight against cancer today. My heart hurts so much. Thank you for your kind messages… Xx.’
