While up and down the UK loved up couples snuggled on the sofa, or toasted their partnership over dinner on Valentine’s Day, some of the biggest names in the film industry took to the red carpet in London for the EE British Academy Film Awards. Well known names from Britain and beyond braved the freezing February weather to walk the red carpet in glamorous gowns and smart suits for one of the UK’s biggest award ceremonies!
Celebrating the best in British film and awarding some of the most exciting movies of the year, the BAFTAs 2016 drew A-listers from the bright lights of Hollywood, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Julianne Moore, and hosted our own homegrown talent, from Oscar-winning Eddie Redmayne to national treasure Julie Walters.

English rose Kate Winslet kept it simple in a chic, floor-length black gown. After traveling the world and attending award shows in LA this year, the Titanic star couldn’t help admitting how thrilled she was to be back home in the UK whilst on the red carpet! The star won the BAFTA for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her role in the bipoic about Steve Jobs. The actress last picked up the award 20 years ago!

Eddie Redmayne kept a protective arm around his pregnant wife, Hannah, as he escorted her down the red carpet! Chatting to Zoe Ball, the Oscar-winner said he was thrilled to be nominated for a BAFTA again this year, after his winning performance in ‘The Theory of Everything’ last year.
Irish actress Saoirse Ronan looked lovely on the red carpet attending the EE British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London. Despite admitting to Zoe Ball that she was freezing, the rising Hollywood star revealed she was thrilled to be back home in London!
