Amal and George whisk their one-month-old twins off to Italy for their first ever family holiday abroad! There’s also special significance behind the trip…
Actor George Clooney and his wife, human-rights lawyer Amal, became proud parents of twins on Tuesday 6th June 2017.
The first-time parents announced that the ‘healthy, happy’ babies were called Ella and Alexander and doting Grandad Nick, George’s father, described his grandchildren as, “absolutely beautiful.”
Now, at just over one month old, Ella and Alexander are joining their parents on their very first trip abroad.
Normally based in the UK, George and Amal have reportedly jetted off to Italy for their first ever family holiday. Landing in Milan on Monday night, it is thought that the couple will have travelled straight to the beautiful Lake Como, where they own a villa.
Italy has a very special meaning to both George and Amal, as they married in Venice in 2014. The star-studded, glamorous nuptials saw the couple whizzing around the beautiful city in Venice’s famed water taxis, attending dinners and taking in the sights before they tied the knot. So for Italy to be the first country their children ever visit must be very special indeed.
In addition, the Express reports that Amal and George are planning to renew their vows in the build up to their third wedding anniversary in September this year. Apparently the new parents are keen to relive the experience with their twin in tow.
An insider claims ‘Amal and George are even planning a welcome party for the twins on their third wedding anniversary, when they will also be renewing their vows in front of close family and friends’.
