She’s recently landed a spot on Time magazine’s ranking of the ‘100 Most Influential People’…and it seems that three album’s worth of catchy tunes isn’t the only thing our favourite songstress has given to the world! Here are 11 amazing life lessons we learnt from Adele:

1.You can have it all, and still keep your feet on the ground

In a 377-word letter about the Hello singer – published in Time magazine – Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence revealed that as well as being a fantastic mother, and all round global icon, Adele is still as down to earth as ever.

“What you don’t see is what a wonderful mother she is. What a wonderful partner and friend she is,” she wrote. “That she makes her son’s Halloween costumes. Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she’s also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful.”

2. Don’t be afraid to go at your own pace

While there were a lot of questions asked about Adele’s three-year hiatus from the music world, the singer’s ‘time out’ from the industry helped her to grow and create an album that became the world’s bestselling in 2015.

“25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising. And I’m sorry it took so long but, you know, life happened,” she said.

3. Motherhood is magical

US magazine Working Mother recently placed Adele in it’s listing of the ’50 most powerful moms of 2016′ and the singer had this to say about the joys of motherhood.

“[Angelo] makes me very proud of myself,” the singer told Vogue in February. “When I became a parent, I felt like I was truly living. I had a purpose, where before I didn’t.”

4. When all else fails, laugh like there’s no tomorrow!

What better way to break the ice at an MBE ceremony than by letting out a hearty chuckle?

5. There are no wrong turns, only unexpected paths

6. Do things your own way

While everyone else may be tucking into mince pies and belting out a Christmas carol or two in the run up to the festive season, for Adele it was all about takeaways and TV! She might be a global superstar, but she’s still just like us!

7. Take time to appreciate those who’ve inspired you

Adele recently posted this gushing ode to Beyonce via Instagram, saying: ‘I’m not late on this I’ve just been speechless. Beyonce is the most inspiring person I’ve ever had the pleasure of worshipping.

Aretha Franklin spoke about the importance of R.E.S.P.E.C.T in the classic Motown hit from the sixties, and it seems that Adele has picked up the baton for female empowerment decades later. Now that’s what we call girl power!

9. Go above and beyond what’s expected of you

Adele’s 25 tour has been filled with touching moments the singer has shared with her fans, including the time she spent at the home of a terminally ill fan Rebecca, 12, while touring at Belfast’s SSE Arena. Her mum Tracy initially started a social media campaign to get the singer to send a video message to her daughter, but Adele decided to take things one step further and visit the      youngster in her own home.

“Adele played with her hair, and held her hand and asked her all about Frozen. She was really lovely,” Tracy told the Belfast Telegraph.

The singer also offered the family free tickets to her concert. A true star in every sense of the word – Adele we salute you!

10. Embrace the sad times, and good times are bound to follow

“I don’t think sadness is always devastating. It can be quite uplifting and joyful, as well. Sometimes you have to allow yourself to be sad in order to move forward,” Adele says.

11. Love your body, warts and all

Speaking about body confidence, Adele had this to say in an interview with Australia’s ’60 minutes’:

“I do have body image problems, for sure, but I don’t let them rule my life at all  there’s only one of you, so why would you want to look like anyone else?”
