Lisa Maxwell has sensationally quit Loose Women, following in the footsteps of Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin and Jane McDonald.
The actress, 50, has been a regular since 2008, but now feels like the show ‘is not as much fun as it once was.’
She said, ‘We are the hired talent and do what we’re told. But the one thing in our powers is if we stay or go, and I’ve decided to go. Loose Women is not the same show. It used to be about a group of women who all know each other really well and have lots of chemistry. But now it’s become a lot more serious, and less personal. I miss the laughs.’
She added, ‘I’ve had a brilliant six years but now I’m looking forward to going back to acting.’
Lisa is the fourth regular to leave in just six months, while younger stars such as Jamelia and Myleene Klass have been brought in to give the show a ‘fresher’ feel.
