What this bride did will AMAZE you - what a woman!
Picture the scene: you’ve put the finishing touches to the wedding of your dreams, only to discover that your groom’s got cold feet. What would you do as a jilted bride? Scream? Shout? Throw some wedding cake?
When this very scenario happened to 27-year-old bride-to-be Quinn Duane this week, what she did next will surprise and amaze you.
Instead of cancelling the lavish $35,000 ceremony – due to take place in Sacramento, California – jilted bride Quinn and her family donated their wedding feast to the homeless.
After Quinn phoned her mum Kari on Monday to tell her the wedding was off, Kari went into ‘action mode’ – reaching out to local homeless shelters.
‘It just seemed like this would be something that we would do to give back’ Kari says.
While Quinn was too devastated to attend, she watched the guests arrive and tuck into the feast, which included salmon, steak and gnocchi.
One such guest, Rashad Abdullah, described the meal as ‘a blessing’, and his wife agreed. ‘To lose out on something so important to yourself and then give it to someone else is really giving, really kind,’ she said.
And the family didn’t stop there – they also donated jilted Quinn’s flowers to a nursing home.
Selfless or what?!
