Toasted pine nutsNot only do pine nuts add a great bite to a simple salad but the also make a low cal tasty snack.

 

HOW TO DO IT

1. Take a dry non-stick pan. Put the pine nuts in it (use no oil) and turn the heat to medium.

2. Shake the pan every 30 seconds to toss the pine nuts. When the pine nuts are lightly browned, remove from the heat and pop onto a plate to cool.

 

N.B. If you leave them in the hot pan they will keep on cooking.
