Elsie was like any normal little girl growing up, but she had problems getting over illness. Her parents were concerned, and after the doctor conducted a blood test, they found out she had leukaemia.

Her parents were devastated.

Elsie needed to be treated immediately as she had an acute myeloid leukaemia, which meant that without this treatment she wouldn’t survive.

The treatment centre was a 4 hour round trip from the family home.  The Sick Children’s Trust was there to offer help and support to Elsie and her family during their time of need.

Watch this moving video on how doing something simple like baking (which we love) can help The Sick Children’s Trust support more families, like Charlotte and Max Norman and their daughter Elsie.

You can make a difference.

This year, we want to help The Sick Children’s Trust raise as much money as they can.  £30 gives a family a room for the night and provides a place to stay when they need it the most.  With your help we can help families stay together in their time of need.

The Big Chocolate Tea Party campaign runs throughout April. To hold a party simply invite friends and family to share cups of tea and a chocolate cake. Everyone donates, whether as an entry fee or for the treats. Get involved and host a tea party. See how you can get involved.
