Hot outside? Whip up a homemade ice lolly for half the cost of a shop bought one!

 

YOU WILL NEED

400g hulled strawberries

150g tub of readymade custard

Makes: 6

Prep time: 10 minutes

Freezing time: overnight

Cost per serving: 52p per lolly

HOW TO DO IT

1      Puree the hulled strawberries in a food processor or liquidiser then press through a sieve into a bowl.

2      Stir in the readymade custard and mix until smooth.

3      Pour into 6 lolly moulds, add lollysticks and freeze overnight.

4      To serve, dip moulds briefly in warm water then lift out of the moulds
