This is SO touching!
Wedding days are always special events. From the walk down to the aisle to the touching father-daughter dance, each moment of a bride’s big day is more emotional than the next.
And for one newlywed saying ‘I do’ took on an extra special significance, as she expanded her wedding party to include some extra special guests.
Kinsey French – a teacher at the Christian Academy Providence School in Louisville, Kentucky – has dedicated her career to her special needs pupils. And when her boyfriend Josh proposed she knew that marrying the love of her life just wouldn’t be the same without the class she held so dear to her heart.
But rather than just setting aside a pew for her class, this one-of-a-kind bride decided to take things one step further.
“They were like family to me,” Kinsey told WLKY. “They were my first class and they’ve been my only class, and so I knew I couldn’t have a special day without them.”
While Kinsey added the finishing touches to her lace embroidered wedding gown and placed her cascading brunette curls in a classic bridal style, her pupils decked themselves out in the cutest of flower boy and page boy outfits. As the girls slipped into their ivory beaded dresses, the boys donned white shirts, suspenders and bow ties.
In addition to looking the part Kinsey’s pupils also played their part in the wedding day celebrations serving as flower girls and ring bearers for the happy couple.
And when it came time to the traditional ritual of throwing the bouquet the flower girls jostled for a place alongside the bride’s single guests.
The pupils also took to the dancefloor to throw some extra special moves with their favourite teacher.
This black and white photo captures how nervous the group were ahead of their biggest class assignment yet.
And it was all smiles from the flower girls as the reception got underway.
Finally, a quick pre-ceremony visit with the bride, was just the thing to calm her nerves.
