It’s no secret we love a sweet treat here at Woman’s Own, so we knew we had to do something big for our own Big Chocolate Tea Party! We partnered up with The Sick Chidren’s Trust for the second year running for a making and baking extravaganza – and our chocoholics definitely delivered!
Our chocolate tea party had three different categories: Cookies & biscuits, cakes and cupcakes, all made by the best bakers IPC Media has to offer. There was only one condition – each bake had to include chocolate (that’s our kind of rule!)
Bake Off’s finest, Cat Dresser and master chocolatier, Paul A Young, were at hand to taste over 40 baking creations, crowning a winner from each category and then an overall winner. Each winner took home some amazing Kenwood treats to bake up some more tasty treats at home for their lucky families.
After the expert judging was finished the rest of us got to tuck into all the delicious bakes when they were sold off, and more chocolate treats were up for grabs in our charity tombola. In total, a whopping £640 was raised for The Sick Children’s Trust.
A fun day was made that bit better by the news that we had beaten last year’s fund raising total, which meant The Sick Children’s Trust was able to help 30 families like The Normans.
TOWIE stars joined in the fun and hosted their own Big Chocolate Tea party too.
