The Spice Girls reunion has been on the cards for a while now. However, the long awaited return of the best-selling girl group of all time may be extended, thanks to one previous member of the group.

The Spice Girls reunion was already in jeopardy when former band member Geri Horner (previously Ginger Spice) pulled out of the performances after announcing she was pregnant with her second child, and her first baby husband Christian Horner.

Happy Christmas! (My best pressie is in my tummy 😌).

Geri, who is already mum to 10-year-old daughter Bluebell, decided to take time to focus on her family.

A source told The Sun, “Geri’s priorities have changed. Her baby is due later this year and rather than force a reunion, she’s needs to concentrate on more personal matters.

However, now there is a further spanner in the works for the ‘girl power’ group.

Victoria Beckham, (aka ‘Posh Spice’) has sought to take legal action against her former friends and band mates. The now successful fashion designer has supposedly drafted in lawyers to put a stop to the £10million Spice Girls reunion tour.

Reports reveal that Victoria has resorted to, “aggressive legal letters” to stop the performance of some of the band’s most famous songs, on which Victoria has a writing credit.

A source said, “The girls are devastated. It is an extremely sad way for things to end.”

When asked in an interview with Claudia Winkleman if she wished her old bandmates luck, Victoria replied, “Of course, as a new group, I do.

“I do think they should sing their own material though, because what we did in the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs I think I might be a bit sad.”

Victoria is worth an estimated £250million thanks to her fashion empire and associated business. That’s £508million combined with her husband David Beckham.

So, what do you think? Is it right for Victoria to try and stop the reunion tour? Or should she let her former band mates try and revive the group? Finally, do you think the Spice Girls should get back together at all? Or, leave the past in the past?
