Congratulations are in order for Kate and William after the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to their baby daughter at 8.34am on Saturday 2nd May, weighing 8lb 3oz.
Mother and baby are both doing well and the Queen is said to be delighted at the new addition to the royal family, as is grandfather for the second time Prince Charles who confessed he was hoping it was a girl all along! The new princess is the Queen’s fifth great-grandchild.
Prince George has been at home with his nanny, but will no doubt be delighted to meet his new little sister, who is now fourth-in-line to the throne.
The world now awaits the announcement of the new little one’s name, with rumours that she is to be called Alice still circulating. We can’t wait to see the first photos of the happy family!
