Romeo Beckham showed support for his A-list mum in the sweetest way...
Romeo Beckham has come to the defence of mum Victoria following the social media storm over an Instagram snap of the Spice Girl and her 5-year-old daughter Harper.
Victoria faced criticism after posting this picture to mark Harper’s 5th birthday.
The seemingly innocent snap made headlines around the world after it attracted a flurry of comments from Instagram users – many of whom were less than happy with the idea of parents kissing their children on the lips.
“Eww sorry I’m old fashioned it looks like they making out,” one Instagram user wrote, while another said, “It’s nice but you’re not supposed to kiss you’re children on the lips. I’m not trying to be rude but it’s true.”
Showing a maturity older than his 13 years, Romeo – the middle child in the Beckham clan – reacted to the comments by sharing a snap of mum Victoria kissing him on the cheek, along with the caption ‘I still love my my mum, kisses’ with an adorable ‘feeling loved’ heart emoji.
Facebook users were quick to praise the youngster’s actions, with the post clocking up 50,000 likes and 770 shares.
Comments from Romeo’s Facebook fans agreed that kisses are the ultimate expression of motherly love.
Woman’s Own Facebook followers were also quick to speak out in support of Victoria, with many saying that they too kiss their children on the lips as a sign of affection.
