Disney On Ice: Dare to Dream

Woman’s Own were lucky enough to go to Disney on Ice at London’s O2 arena this week – and what a show it was!

We took five year old Rosie, and three year old Thomas with us to review the production, which got a unanimous thumbs up. Celebs such as Denise Van Outen, Sam Bailey, Emma Willis and Kate Garraway were also in attendance, clearly loving every minute.

As a way to counteract that Christmas comedown, this was just the ticket. The kids loved it – and so did the adults. Dancing on Ice contestants move aside, this lot were the real deal. Over the course of the 90 minutes there was not one slip, fall or tumble from the cast, despite some of the most daring and impressive moves we’ve seen since Hayley Tamaddon won DOI in 2010.

But obviously, it’s all for the children, and with four Disney stories told over the course of the show they were well and truly spoilt. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto introduce each tale, from the classic Snow White to the more recent Tangled, the latter of which featured a spectacular aerial routine that got the biggest cheer of the day.

A skating horse, the seven dwarves, a stunning set and a finale full of fireworks made the show unforgettable. As a beaming Rosie proclaimed on the way out – ‘That was the best day of my life!’

Tickets are still on sale for the last remaining dates in London this weekend. Visit  www.disneyonice.co.uk for more info.
