Lorraine Kelly shares her beauty secretsOur columnist reveals how she stays in shape when the cold weather starts to bite.

‘I don’t know whether it’s the change in seasons, but I find I’m starving hungry all the time and crave comfort food like fish and chips, cakes, and chocolate.

‘With the weather getting colder it’s also much tougher to drag myself for a brisk walk, even though I know Rocky my dog needs to be taken out. The wind and rain can cut walks short!

‘That’s why it is more important than ever that I do my regular Pilates classes with my friend and fitness expert Jane Wake.

I do Pilates at least once a week with Jane and try to do the exercises myself at least a few more times. You don’t need any special equipment and it is perfect for women over forty as you aren’t “going for the burn”.

‘That’s not to say that Pilates is easy. It is actually really tough when you do it properly and I’ve found a massive improvement in my posture and my whole body has toned up. If you want exercise that works then give it a go.’
