Loose Women panellist Katie Price made dramatic confession on yesterday’s episode of the hit daytime show.

The mum-of-five revealed that she had been sexually abused since the age of seven, and that the trauma of this horrific event had played a key part in her decision to take up glamour modelling.

As a clip of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories – where she tells her story – rolled, the 38-year-old opened up about her experiences at the hands of abusers.

“I was seven years old in a park in Hove, it was just some weirdo.

“I’ve been abused and raped since then, but I’m not going to say who or what or whatever.”

Katie went on to explain how this series of tragic events fuelled a career in glamour.

“I was training to be a nurse, and then I got offered the chance to do glamour modelling.

“I think it was because you’re being sexy but men can’t look or touch. It’s all about control.”

#NeverTooLateToTell

Yesterday’s episode featured the hashtag #NeverTooLateToTell – a campaign launched by the programme in the wake of recent news surrounding the football abuse claims. It has been supported by Karen Danczuk – the former wife of MP Simon Danczuk – who also joined Katie on the panel. The 33-year-old broke down on an earlier show as she gave her first interview detailing the sexual abuse hell she endured from her brother and yesterday admitted:

“I will never get over it.”

Viewers took to Twitter to put their support behind the stars and the campaign:
