Confident Katie Price, 38 has revealed that years of rocky relationships has left her with hang-ups and insecurities when it comes to men.
The former glamour girl turned business woman and TV star admitted that she is actually, “very insecure” despite her self-assured attitude.
“I want to be loved for me, for my humour and personality. I have lots of love to give” the renowned self-publicist told the Daily Mirror.
She went on admit, “I am quite needy. I am very insecure when it comes to men.”
The star also confessed that she can be quite difficult to please. “I want them to bombard me,” she revealed. “They have to do it in the right way – if they are too keen I am not interested.”
After two failed marriages, to singer Peter Andre and cage fighter Alex Reid, Katie seems determined to make her current marriage to Kieran Halyer work.
Their tumultuous relationship has been well documented. Katie even quit her role as a panellist on Loose Women in order to focus on her marriage.
However, the mum-of-five also admitted recently that she still wants Kieran to suffer for his affair two years ago. Not only did Kieran have a ten-month fling, but the woman in question was Katie’s (now former) friend Jane Pountney.
She told The Sunday Times Magazine: ‘I have a sting. I will get my own back, even on Kieran. I always say to him, “You haven’t had your karma yet, but something will happen – you’ll see”.
She added, “I want him to go through all that hurt I went through, seeing all those pictures and text messages in The Sun – I wish he could feel the pain that I had…it’s indescribable.”
The ex-BFF in question, Jane, has reportedly recently got in contact with Katie, begging her to forgive her and rekindle their friendship. As well as asking for forgiveness, Jane is also said to have shared a worrying warning with the star.
“In the letters, Jane says she wants to reveal ‘the truth’ about Kieran. She’d apparently kept text messages in which he’d criticised Katie and complained about hating his life,” a source told Reveal .
“Jane wrote to Katie saying that no amount of therapy can cure a cheat. She urged Katie to leave Kieran – before he does it all again.”
After committing the ultimate friendship betrayal, it’s unclear whether Katie will even respond to Jane’s letters, let alone agree to meet with her and heed her former friend’s warnings about Kieran.
