If reports are to be believed, there could be a third royal baby on the way soon! Prince George and Princess Charlotte could soon be joined by a new brother or sister, as Kate and Prince William plan to add to their brood.

According to a friend of the couple, the royal couple want to have another baby quite soon so that their three children can all grow up together.

“They want at least three kids and for them to be close in age,” sources close to the couple told Vanity Fair

The Duchess, 34, is the eldest of three children from her family, and with only two years between herself and sister Pippa, it’s no wonder she’s thinking about having another child close in age to Princess Charlotte, who is nearly two.

Prince William will also be thrilled to add to their young family, as he was clearly besotted with Princess Charlotte’s arrival in 2015, calling her,“a little joy of heaven.”

William, 34, has been taking time away from the spotlight and his royal duties in order to spend as much time with his two children in private as possible. The Prince has been very open about the fact that he prioritises his role as a parent above his public responsibilities, “I’m concentrating very much on my role as a father,” he said in a BBC TV interview in April.

“I’m a new father and I take my duties and my responsibilities to my family very seriously and I want to bring my children up as good people with the idea of service and duty to others as very important. But if I can’t give my time to my children as well, I worry about their future.”

However the Duke has also said, “When the Queen decides she is going to hand down more responsibilities I’ll be the first person to accept them.” The Duke and Duchess have stepped up their responsibilities lately. Their move back into Kensington Palace over the summer is the latest sign that the couple will be taking on more royal responsibilities.
