The Golden Globes is the first ceremony of awards season – and what a way to kick off Hollywood’s busiest red carpet season!
Some of the world’s biggest stars stepped out in their finery for the 74th Golden Globe Awards in LA. Guests included the likes of Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman.
Hosted by US TV show presenter Jimmy Fallon, several of our favourite stars where honoured over the course of the evening.
Although she didn’t win the award for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy’ for her performance as ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’, 30-time Globes nominee and eight-time winner Meryl Streep was welcomed on stage to accept the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award.
We also spotted several British stars walking the red carpet, including the dashing Tom Hiddleston. The cheeky charmer was nominated for an award for his performance in gripping TV drama ‘The Night Manager‘.
Joining Tom flying the flag for the UK was actress Claire Foy. Claire was nominated for an award for her performance as The Queen in popular Netflix drama ‘The Crown‘. The highly acclaimed show was also nominated for the ‘Best Television Series’ Award. Before walking the red carpet, Claire admitted she was “completely terrified”.
“I think once it’s all out of the way it will just be a great party” the 32-year-old added.

Talking of being a first time parent Jessica revealed that their son has, “changed everything” for them but they were excited to have some alone time and a special ‘date night’ at the Golden Globes!
Nominated for her highly anticipated film ‘Lion’, Nicole Kidman didn’t disappoint with her eye-catching red carpet gown.
Tipped to win some major awards for her performance in highly acclaimed movie ‘La La Land’, Emma Stone looked every inch the starlet in this shimmery red carpet gown.
Bucking the trend for black dinner jackets, Ryan Gosling chose a white Gucci jacket instead and completed the look with a red flower. <3
Reese Witherspoon – Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon
‘The Crown’ leading lady Claire Foy appeared to be channelling her inner Queen Elizabeth in her choice of gown for the Golden Globes! The Brit looked regal on the red carpet in floor sweeping sequins.
The jury is still out on which actor might be cast as 007 in the next Bond movie. Looking dashing in his red carpet tux, Mr Hiddleston certainly looked like a strong contender!
Goldie Hawn made 71 look like the new 21 in her off-the-shoulder black red carpet gown!

SJP said that she fell in love with this Vera Wang dress the moment she saw it, and she was also inspired by her mother’s wedding dress! The actress completed the look with a crown braid hairstyle.
