The former Spice Girl appeared alongside Louis Walsh, Tulisa and Gary Barlow in 2010 during the audition stages of the ITV show but was slammed by audiences for her embarrassing ways. These included but were not limited to, insulting her fellow judges, arriving at auditions on the roof of a car and showing off about her own singing abilities.
But now Geri, 40, has spoken out saying that she was left feeling red faced about her appearance. Geri said: ‘I did my best, but I was the new girl for one day. I look back and cringe. I was disapoointed I didn’t become a full-time judge, but accepted it wasn’t meant to be.’
‘Thank God sometimes I don’t get what I want when I want it. I’d have probably f****d up,’ she also added.
Geri is currently down under where she’s starring alongside Dawn French on the Australia’s Got Talent judging panel and this time around she’s hoping for a more positive response. Geri said: ‘Now I do feel ready to be part of a show that celebrates people, and gives them an opportunity.’
