George Kay and Kerry Katona have put and end to their relationship after just three years of marriage. But what made him walk out on his wife?
George Kay and Kerry Katona have ended their three-year-marriage.
It appeared that the mum-of-five had finally found happiness with her third husband. But sadly there were some ‘domestic issues’ that they couldn’t overcome…
According to a source who spoke with the Sun, George was fed-up of having to take responsibility for the children and look after them while Kerry was out.
The source said: “Tensions reached breaking point about a month ago and it all came to head when George told Kerry that he was tired of acting as a nanny to her kids.”
George and Kerry share one child together, three-year-old Dylan-Jorge. Kerry also has four other children from two previous marriages.
The source added: “He [George] is sick of being stuck at home… While Kerry was able to swan about and do what she pleased.”
The Sun report that George intends to collect his things from the family home in Crowborough, East Sussex over the course of the week.
Kerry and George, a former rugby league player, married in 2014. The couple split in 2015 after reports that George had assaulted her. But when Kerry dropped her statement, George was acquitted and the couple put their differences aside.
They posted a statement on Twitter declaring their love for one another and renewed their wedding vows. Shortly afterwards, Kerry posted a loved-up snap on Instagram with the caption: “Love you so much baby@georgekayofficial.”
In recent months, however, things have taken a turn for the worst. Kerry has been doing more and more public appearances and it was rumoured that she would be appearing on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother. According to the Sun Kerry pulled out of the show due to ‘domestic issues’. Soon after, reports emerged that things were tense between the pair, before it was confirmed that they’d decided to call it a day.
Can you understand George’s reasons for wanting to end the marriage or do you think there is more to the story. We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below or on our Facebook page.
